A (the) semi-structural New-Keynasian model of the Indian economy (completed)
This project undertaken with colleagues at the Reserve Bank of India developed the most comprehensive structural model of the Indian economy, the Quarterly Projection Model (2.0). This is a new-Keynesian, open economy, forward-looking, stochastic gap model modified and calibrated for the structural characteristics and empirical regularities of the Indian economy.
The Sraffa-Phillips Curve: a surplus approach to distributional inflation (final draft)
This research project examines the relationship between income redistribution and changes in aggregate prices from a surplus perspective. It contributes to:
- an examination of the theoretical treatment of functional income distribution throughout the historical evolution of the Phillips curve framework,
- offers an alternative perspective that attempts to ‘sublate’ the Phillips curve from a Sraffian surplus perspective,
- and finally, it models a relationship between the functional income redistribution and changes in (Sraffian) prices using an augmented Sraffian input-output model.
